Shalonda McCallum, O.D.
Board-Certified Optometrist
Dr. Shalonda McCallum is a native of Miami, Florida. She first earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and subsequently completed her second undergraduate degree in Vision Science. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, a passion for business lead her to pursue a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Nova Southeastern University’s H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business, before pursuing a Doctorate in Optometry from Nova Southeastern University’s College of Optometry. She then completed a residency in Ocular Disease at the Braverman Eye Center in Hollywood, Florida.
As a board-certified Optometric Physician, Dr. McCallum practices primary care optometry with an emphasis in ocular disease diagnosis, treatment and management. She also co-manages surgeries for Collagen Cross-linking, LASIK, PRK, cataract and glaucoma. Dr. McCallum is a member of the Florida Optometric and American Optometric Associations and serves as a Trustee on the Board of the Broward County Optometric Association, and also holds a ministerial license. In her spare time, Dr. McCallum enjoys spending time with her family.
