Jaime A. Ferreira Guedes, MD
OPHTHALMOLOGIST
Dr. Guedes is an internationally trained ophthalmologist with more than 20 years of experience in cataract surgery, corneal and external diseases, glaucoma, refractive surgery, and comprehensive eye care.
Originally from Brazil, Dr. Guedes earned his medical degree from Fluminense Federal University and completed his ophthalmology training at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He later completed additional glaucoma research training at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Throughout his career, Dr. Guedes has combined clinical excellence with a strong commitment to scientific research. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed scientific articles, contributed two textbook chapters in the fields of cataract and refractive surgery, and serves as an Associate Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Ophthalmology and as an Editorial Board Member of BMC Ophthalmology.
