Daniel Diaz, M.D.

A Miami native, Dr. Daniel Diaz earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Miami. He then pursued medical training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. While in medical school, Dr. Diaz was awarded a Global Health Research Fellowship and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies.

During his research fellowship, Dr. Diaz conducted studies at the Aravind Eye Hospital and L.V. Prasad Eye Institute in India, as well as the Sancti Spiritus Provincial Ophthalmology Center in Cuba.

After earning his M.D. with Distinction in Research, Dr. Diaz completed his medical internship and residency at the Harvard Medical School affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital and Massachusetts Eye and Ear hospital. He returned home to complete his subspecialty training in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
