Laura Espinosa, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Espinosa graduated from Florida International University with a bachelor of science in chemistry in 2012. She continued her education at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, School of Optometry, where she received her doctor of optometry degree in 2016. She continued on completing a residency training at the VA Medical Center in Newington, Connecticut, where she specialized in ocular diseases (i.e., glaucoma, macular degeneration, traumatic brain injuries, diabetic retinopathy) and primary care. She worked alongside and co-managed many cases with ophthalmology residents of Yale University. During her time of residency, she also worked at a private practice in South Windsor, Connecticut, where she fit a variety of contact lenses, including specialty/medically necessary lenses. Following one year of residency, Dr. Espinosa joined the Aran Eye Associates team in 2017.
Dr. Espinosa participated in a vision screening for hundreds of residents in Chiapas, Mexico in 2015 with VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity). She is also an active member of the American Optometric Association and current Vice President of the Miami-Dade Optometric Physicians Association.
