Candice N. Mansito, OD earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida International University. She then went on to earn another Bachelor of Science in Visual Science and her Doctorate in Optometry from NOVA Southeastern University. She graduated with honors in the top 10% of her class.
Dr. Mansito completed externships in a multitude of specialties. She studied at the Broward Health Clinic in Fort Lauderdale, FL. It was there that she gained an understanding of ocular disease and treatment. She participated in complex cases, performed thorough comprehensive exams and learned to perform and interpret the latest diagnostic medical testing. Dr. Mansito also completed externships at Aran Eye Associates and Braverman Eye Center, where she gained valuable experience in eye disease pertaining to overall systemic health and pre and post operative care. She then excelled in an exclusive Autism clinic with vision therapy at NOVA Southeastern and was awarded the Coopervision excellence award in Corneal health and Contact lenses during her Internship.
After her extensive education, Dr. Mansito decided to add on another year of learning by pursuing a residency in Ocular Disease. Her residency training in Neurology took place at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute with Operative care and Disease management training at Aran Eye Associates.
Today, Dr. Mansito performs comprehensive eye examinations, with special emphasis in Ocular Disease. Dr. Mansito diagnoses, monitors and treats diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, cataracts, diseases linked to auto immune disorders, macular degeneration, uveitis, and many other ocular and systemic pathologies.
